Sweet Treat Series: Crunchy Brownie Ice Cream Sundae
Dessert is my favorite part of any meal. Even when I’m trying to lose weight, I always plan for dessert. This Crunchy Brownie Ice Cream Sundae is quick and easy to make. Two ingredients, crushed and mixed together, and voila dessert is ready!
I look for easy desserts that include the flavors and textures I love. Ice cream is a favorite food of mine. I think I eat ice cream in one way, shape, or form every night. I like real ice cream, even if it’s light. The best I’ve found is use Edy’s Slow-Churned Light ice cream. It is by far my favorite light ice cream out there. Use your favorite brand and/or flavor, just be sure to adjust points accordingly.
In this recipe I use one of my favorite finds from Trader Joe’s: Brownie Crisp! The brownie pieces have a TON of flavor and give the ice cream a nice crunch. If you like places like Cold Stone Creamery, this is the next best thing AND WW-friendly! My family gobbles it up!
If you don’t have a Trader Joe’s near you, I have seen similar products in the regular grocery stores. Check it out on Amazon here if only to see what it looks like and check out the nutritional information so you can find something similar in your own grocery store!
