Christmas Candy Tube Containers
Every year I see those candy tube containers full of various candies in stores to use as stocking stuffers. They are really cute and I decided I wanted to try and make them myself. I found tubes of various sizes online and ordered ones I thought would work. I then spent some time in the Christmas candy aisle at the grocery store and found a variety of different holiday M&Ms. From there I got to work!
Personalized Candy Tube Container Stocking Stuffers
These personalized Candy Tube Containers are easy to make using a Cricut machine (I have the Cricut Maker and I LOVE it). The lettering is too detailed to cut by hand, or at least too detailed for ME to cut by hand but you’re welcome to try!
I created an SVG file for the design of the letters. You can get the SVG file for free by clicking below:
Materials Needed:
- Cricut Premium Vinyl (color(s) of your choice). I used red, green, white, brown glitter, brushed copper, and brown.
- I used these plastic test tubes with screw caps that I found on Amazon.
- Cricut Transfer Tape
- Four types of holiday M&Ms – milk chocolate, hazelnut, peanut butter, and holiday mint
Tools Needed:
- Cricut machine (I have the Cricut Maker)
- Basic Tool Set, Cricut Weeder
- Cricut XL Scraper
STEP 1: Uploading the Candy Tube Container SVG File
Download the SVG file from the e-mail link and upload it into Cricut Design Space. The file will look like this:
STEP 2: Cutting the Candy Tube Container Tray SVG
Choose your desired color of vinyl adhesive and cut per the Cricut machine prompts. You can use whatever colors and type of vinyl you wish.
STEP 3: Weeding the Merry Little Christmas Tray Letters and Shapes
After cutting all of the letters and shapes, carefully peel away the excess vinyl that is not part of the letters and shapes from the liner. Be careful not to pull off any of the letters or shapes.
STEP 4: Transferring the Lettering to the Candy Tube Containers
Put together the two pieces of cut vinyl for the tube caps. Apply the transfer tape to the red candy cane circle.
Position it on top of one of the white circles.
Repeat the process with the remaining three sets of vinyl.
Once all four red and white cap stickers are ready, transfer to the tubes.
Milk Chocolate Candy Container Tube
Assemble the hot chocolate mugs by adding the snowflakes and hot chocolate to the red mugs.
Next, gather all the Milk Chocolate pieces together.
Using transfer tape, apply transfer tape to the lettering.
Apply the lettering to the tube where you would like it positioned. I placed it in the center of the tube allowing enough room on either end for the mugs of hot chocolate.
Peel off the transfer tape leaving the Milk Chocolate lettering on the tube.
Next, apply transfer tape to the hot chocolate mugs to transfer them to the container tube.
Apply the previously assembled mugs to either end of the tube next to the “milk chocolate” lettering.
Finally, using transfer tape apply the whipped cream on top of the hot chocolate mug.
Place the second whipped cream on the container. The Milk Chocolate Candy Container Tube is complete and ready for candy!
Hazelnut Candy Container Tube
Using transfer tape, apply transfer tape to the Hazelnut lettering.
Apply the lettering to the tube where you would like it positioned. I placed it in the center of the tube allowing enough room on either end for the hazelnuts.
Peel off the transfer tape leaving the Hazelnut lettering on the tube.
Next, apply transfer tape to the the first set of hazelnuts and transfer them to the container tube next to the hazelnut lettering.
Repeat with the second set of hazelnuts.
The last step is to fill it with hazelnut M&Ms!
Peanut Butter Candy Container Tube
Using transfer tape, apply transfer tape to the Peanut Butter lettering and cookies.
Apply the lettering to the tube, centering it on the tube so it’s evenly spaced.
The Peanut Butter container tube is complete and ready to be filled with peanut butter M&Ms!
Holiday Mint Candy Container Tube
Using transfer tape, apply transfer tape to the “holiday” lettering and apply to the tube.
Peel off the transfer tape leaving the Holiday lettering on the tube. Using transfer tape, apply the “Mint” lettering right next to it.
Next, apply transfer tape to the leaves and berries to transfer them to the container tube.
Next, apply transfer tape to the leaves and berries to transfer them to the container tube.
The Holiday Mint container tube is complete and ready to be filled with holiday mint M&Ms!
You can use these candy containers as stocking stuffers, teacher gifts, or hostess gifts! Group them together and tie them with a pretty bow or wrap them in a box as a present. No matter how they are presented, the recipient is sure to love them!
